Oakville Labs was founded by us with the goal of helping teams & organizations leverage their data to make better decisions. As we progressed through our careers, working with teams in sectors like life sciences, space technology, instructional technology, and technology, we discovered a few recurring themes when it came how teams deal with data and drive decision making based on the data.
We sought to solve some of these issues by leveraging our subject matter expertise in these fields along with our breadth of knowledge on tools, techniques and best practices being used in Data Science & Data Engineering. Since 2018, we helped teams and supported projects at organizations like like University of Virginia, University of Maryland, Utah State University, Empirical Basis LLC., Southern Regional Education Board.
Padmashri
Suresh is the co-founder of Oakville Labs and leads all initiatives related to Data
Science and Machine Learning. Prior to founding Oakville Labs, she held leadership
positions at several
organizations, like the Head of Data Science @ Zero Gravity Labs (LoyaltyOne) & Principal Data
Scientist @ O.C. Tanner.
She has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Space Science. She's had a
distinguished career in academia with several awards and fellowships recognizing her
research contributions from organizations like NASA (NASA Earth and Space Science Fellow), the
National Academies of Sciences (Mirzayan Policy Fellow), and Los Alamos National Labs (Vela
Research Fellow).
Alok Shenoy is the co-founder of Oakville Labs and leads all initiatives related to Software Development & Data Engineering. Alok always had a passion for computers & software development. While Alok chose to pursue formal training in chemical engineering and life sciences, he often took up opportunities to build websites and apps for research teams that he worked in to keep learning something new in the world of software. Finally in 2015, after being associated with life sciences for close to a decade, Alok decided to pursue his passion full time and become a Data Engineer! Since then, his love for databases, software development, programming and open source has led him to work at organizations like Utah State University, LoyaltyOne & Coursera.
